Your BMI is 25-29.9

By the end of your pregnancy the recommended weight gain is 15-25 pounds or 2-3 pounds per month.


Your BMI is 30 and higher

Only 11-20 pounds of weight gain is advised during pregnancy.

In 2010 the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology published a study where it was found that women who gained during pregnancy more than the advised weight were inclined to get diabetes.


Is it safe to lose weight at pregnancy?

There are women who really lose weight during pregnancy if they follow certain healthy diets and change their lifestyle for this period.
